Fashion fit for the future
When fashion and technology come together, incredible things start to happen. People can share ideas and develop new ways of thinking and working – consigning old, unsustainable ones to history.
We’re using our platform to positively change fashion and inspire the next generation. From supporting sustainable startups through Dream Assembly to helping our partners pioneer new production techniques – we’re doing what’s never been done before.
And we’re engaging with brands, retailers and NGOs to help drive change in the fashion industry, giving sustainability the platform to flourish – creating a future full of possibility.
We are proud to be part of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Make Fashion Circular Initiative that brings together leaders from across the fashion industry. It is a great forum to collaborate with leading brands, NGOs and start-ups – sharing the knowledge we gain from our own circular economy initiatives, and working together to drive change at an industry level.
A smarter way to give
Working with microloans pioneer, Kiva, we’re giving Farfetchers the opportunity to support those who would otherwise have no access to funding they need. Every Farfetcher also gets two ‘Giveback Days’ a year to volunteer for a cause that means something to them, so they can make their own positive impact.
Our accelerator program is an incredible launch pad for new business ideas – many of them with a focus on good social or environmental impact – think re-sale with Upteam, or luxury rentals with Village Luxe. The most recent cohort is entirely focused on sustainably-minded start-ups.
