Beware of Job, Work, and Research Scams Impersonating Farfetch

It has come to our attention that there may be fraudulent activities involving individuals or organisations falsely claiming to represent Farfetch or impersonating Farfetch to attract candidates or individuals to participate in research or other activities.

These are unauthorised and illegal activities that aim to steal money or personal information from job seekers and the general public.

Please be aware that Farfetch does not conduct recruitment processes through messaging apps or any unofficial communication channels, other than our official careers website. Additionally, Farfetch will never ask candidates for any form of payment during the recruitment process.

Please review the following information to protect yourself from potential scams.

How to Protect Yourself:

  • Verify any suspicious job offers through Farfetch’s official website.
  • If you are asked to send money during the hiring or participation process, stop immediately and treat it as suspicious.
  • Be cautious when opening attachments or clicking links, especially files ending in .exe or .zip.
  • Do not respond to recruitment messages sent via unofficial messengers or email addresses.
  • If asked to provide bank account details, certificates, or ID copies, cease communication immediately.

What to Do If You Encounter a Scam:

  • Messaging apps (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram): Use the “Report and Block” feature.
  • Unofficial emails: Use “Report phishing” or “Mark as spam” in Gmail, Outlook, etc.
  • Suspicious job websites: Report impersonation through the site’s customer support.
