FENDI to partner with Farfetch

29 November 2017 – FENDI’s Made-to-Order service goes digital with Farfetch, launching Customize It - taking creative customisation to the next level. For the first time ever for the Maison, starting from November 29th 2017, clients worldwide will have the chance to personalise their very own Kan I F bag and Strap You on FENDI’s e-commerce fendi.com and farfetch.com, the online luxury retailer chosen as single partner for this exclusive project.

Combining the Maison’s excellent materials, extraordinary creativity and Farfetch’s platform, with the customer’s utmost desire for exclusivity, the FENDI Customize It service allows clients to mix-and-match their totally unique design of the Kan I F bag and Strap You; with a wide range of modern colour options, logo styles and hardware variants. Once all combinations are chosen, the leather goods artisans in the Maison’s atelier in Florence will meticulously assemble every part and handcraft each detail with their unparalleled savoir-faire, bringing the customer’s creation to life in up to 12 weeks.

“In our era, customisation is the ultimate expression of luxury for our clients. We are delighted to be launching Customize It, FENDI’s very first online customisation service for our Kan I F bag and Strap You. This project came to life thanks to the partnership with Farfetch and we think it will be a unique opportunity to showcase our daring creativity and pioneer spirit in a new digital and modern way, combining our client’s needs of luxurious exclusivity with the Maison’s perfect blend of tradition and innovation”, states Pietro Beccari, president and CEO of FENDI.

José Neves, founder and CEO of Farfetch, said: “Customisation is a return to the very definition of luxury and now, more than ever, customers expect products, experiences and services with a customisable element. Farfetch is at the forefront of this trend and as a multi-brand platform, we worked directly with our partner FENDI to craft unique shopping experiences for our customers. Together we have created a state-of-the-art customisation experience that is second to none in the luxury market. We are thrilled to collaborate with FENDI on this project for these beautiful bags and straps and give our global customers the opportunity to create something bespoke to express their individuality.”

With 120 possible combinations, the Kan I F bag includes five leather colour options, ranging from timeless black and blue, to strawberry and baby pink, as well as a sophisticated beige latte. Six colour variants decorate the new F is FENDI round logo, which also adorns the distinctive small metal rings on the handle, available in gold or palladium. For a final twist, a double-sided wrappy in silk twill embellishes the handle, adding a touch of colour to the unique personalised bag. Choose between blue with red, pink and white details or pink with yellow, white and blue details, both featuring a geometric pattern inspired by the F is FENDI logo.

In the same colour range of the Kan I F bag, the Strap You personalisation offers 70 possible combinations for the Maison’s iconic shoulder strap, exclusively decorated with conical studs and feminine leather flowers featuring mini F is FENDI metal logos on the flowers’ disks. The selection includes five colours for the leather base and seven variants for each flower colour. Default colour combinations are available for the flowers, including mono-colour, bicolour, tricolour or five-colour options. The double variant for the metal finishes, in gold or palladium, completes the customisation offer.
